Qualitymark Protection provide glazing insurance backed guarantees for various glazing products including windows, doors, conservatories, orangeries and more. An insurance backed guarantee is a cease-to-trade policy, mandated by the competent person schemes.
How Does a Glazing IBG Work?
Our glazing insurance backed guarantees provide financial protection for homeowners in the event that their installer goes out of business and is unable to honour their written guarantees.The insurance backed guarantee is paid for in full by the installer on behalf of the homeowner.
To purchase an Insurance Backed Guarantee, installers must successfully complete the accreditation process. The application is free of charge, and we do not charge any monthly or subscription fees.
Why Do I Need an IBG?
Insurance Backed Guarantees are required to receive and maintain glazing Competent Person Scheme certifications, such as CERTASS, ASSURE and FENSA.
An insurance backed guarantee is also a great sales and marketing tool to help installers convert more quotations, providing added peace of mind and confidence to customers.
For any installers that are installing under government-funded schemes, an insurance backed guarantee is also a requirement to receive the funding.

Before we are able to supply insurance to an installer, they must undergo our vetting and accreditation process. This involves providing evidence of your financial stability and installation competency.

Qualitymark insurance backed guarantees are exclusively available for Qualitymark Protection Accredited Installers. To join, you must first submit our online application form.
There are no charges involved in becoming an Accredited Installer with Qualitymark Protection. We do not charge any upfront, onboarding or subscription fees. We operate on a pay-on-demand basis.
Unfortunately, we do not provide commercial insurance backed guarantees at this time.
Qualitymark Protection does not notify building control, nor do we take partake in any site visits. We put our trust in you once accredited.
Yes, of course. We can provisionally accept you as a Qualitymark Protection Accredited Installer without your certification. However, only when we receive your certification will your account go live.
